⏪ AI 2023 Recap: Part 3 - YouTube Summary Tools

You’ve probably seen articles and posts about YouTube being a free university or you can become an expert by watching YouTube videos in whatever subject interests you, right?

That might be true in some cases, but not if you don’t have time to watch, take notes, and comprehend the information provided by the video.

YouTube summary tools can be helpful to get the information you need, quickly.

Of course, you can always ask for a summary from ChatGPT, Claude, Bard, Microsoft Copilot, etc. But some tools do it automatically and in an easy-to-digest format.

I made a list of several tools, including browser extensions and apps. They range from free or freemium to paid subscriptions.

Youtube Summaries is a browser extension that allows users to generate AI-powered summaries, blog articles, LinkedIn posts, tweets, threads, and other content directly from YouTube videos.

Each type of summary uses a certain amount of credits and you start with about 100 credits for free. Try it here.

If you’re planning on building a GPT, here’s what you need to do:

• Review OpenAI's usage policies & brand guidelines

• Verify your Builder Profile (settings > builder profile)

• Set your GPT to 'Public'
