Advancements in generative AI animation have continued with new features and developments every week, now.
I wrote about this in September and I’m surprised at how quickly these tools have improved in the last 2 months.
Gen-2 Updates
Motion Brush
Runway's new Motion Brush feature lets you animate & choose movement directions & speed for sections of your image.
You can extend for 4 seconds, up to 3 times & change the camera motion each time.
Preset Styles
Gen-2's new preset styles are easy to use and generate consistent video clips from a simple text prompt.

Motion set to Default 5, added Zoom In, then Move Right
Magnific
Easy-to-use AI-powered high-resolution image upscaler and enhancer is guided by your own text prompt, created by my good friend Javi Lopez and Emilio Nicolas.
I'm obsessed with Magnific's incredible image enhancement and reimagination capabilities.
You can enter a text prompt, choose the optimization style (Standard, Film & Photography, Art & Illustration, etc.), and adjust settings for:
Creativity: higher numbers give the AI more creative freedom
HDR: increases definition and detail
Resemblance: how much the result look like the original image
Engine: Advanced parameter to go further potential results includes Automatic, Sparkle, Illusio, and Sharpy
A powerful combination of tools
I see Magnific as a combination of Adobe Photoshop with Generative Fill, and a powerful upscale tool.
It’s much more powerful than image enhancement - it can transform your image!
Make drastic changes to the character's facial features to fit the setting and tone.

It was very easy to use:
