Midjourney v5 has Arrived
Midjourney version 5 (v5) is available with significant differences from the previous version 4 (v4). The announcement was unexpected amid a week of surprises in the world of AI.
The new version uses a new codebase with more knowledge of places, objects, animals, and more. It understands small details and complex prompts with multiple objects and characters.
To start using it, simply add the --v 5
parameter to your prompt or use the /settings
command followed by selecting 5️⃣ MJ Version 5
Top features:
• Hyper-realistic images: Images result in stunning photographic details
• Prompts: Interprets natural language with prompts written as sentences
• More aspect ratios: Accepts any aspect ratio (--aspect or --ar)
• Repeating patterns: Seamless backgrounds or wallpaper with --tile
parameter
Midjourney also announced the launch of a monthly magazine with curated artwork from the 10,000 most highly rated images and interviews with community members. You can subscribe here and get the first issue free with promo code “subscriber.”
