🔮AI News This Week
Grok is Here
Grok is available on 𝕏 for Premium users in the U.S. It’s the snarky version of ChatGPT(ish).
I allowed myself to be roasted on my content, so you could witness the full effect:
What purpose does this serve? None.
It’s interesting in a weird way, and of course, you shouldn’t believe it. But it does provide example 𝕏 posts for the assault on your sanity.
But, I did ask Grok a few other questions and the answers were pretty normal and, dare I say - boring:
So, it seems Grok can be quite informative and balanced - even in “Fun Mode.”
I’ll work with Grok more to find ways to use the real-time knowledge base of 𝕏 news to create content, and I’ll report back to you.
Multi-Modal Bard with Gemini
Google updated its Bard chatbot with the latest AI model, Gemini Pro.
Google announced this will give Bard more capabilities with summarizing, planning, reasoning and coding. Bard with Gemini Pro is available in English in 170+ countries and territories now, and should be released in Europe and other countries in the near future.
I don’t think Bard is a true competitor to ChatGPT, Claude, or Bing Chat, yet. It can’t generate images, and it can’t remember earlier conversations within the same chat.
We’ll see how it evolves with future updates.
Pika 1.0
I got access to Pika Labs’ new AI video platform called Pika 1.0.
It is impressive.
You can generate video with text, images, or transform your uploaded videos. Pika 1.0 lets you expand the canvas (resize) or change certain elements with inpainting.
Camera and motion settings give you more control over your output and you can extend video clips 4 seconds up to three times.

Here is a demo of a video I generated on Pika 1.0 with a text prompt only:

Logo & Brand Solution: Looka
I don’t have a background in Design and I’m learning Photoshop right now (I’ve been a pharmacist for many years, and I didn't have much time to learn graphic design).
So, logos and other branding have always been a headache for me.
I’ve known about Looka for a while but I never used it, until recently. It uses AI to create several brand assets for you in less than 1 minute.
You can start with your logo or Looka will create a new one for you.
But you get much more than a logo - 300 designs, including:
19 Letterheads
10 Presentations
38 Business cards
9 Email signatures
2 Website designs
Social media kit w/ dozens of designs

Social Media for AI Art on Remix
Remix is a free social media app to generate new images, remix someone else’s, or use the image-to-image feature on your uploaded images.
It’s not meant to take the place of other art generators or social media platforms - it’s another place to share, engage, and learn from other AI artists. Check me out and say hello on Remix at Hbcoop.
I love to upload my Midjourney images and use the Magic Wand prompt enhancer to create different versions of my original. It doesn’t have to be drastic - sometimes a small change makes a big difference.
