Midjourney 5.1: The Perfect Blend of V4's Familiarity & Enhanced Creativity
Midjourney added the newest version 5.1 ( v5.1 ), and the results were noticeably different, compared to v5.
Key highlights include:
The algorithm is more ‘opinionated’ like v4 and easier to use with short prompts
Reduced artifacts ( unrelated & unwanted objects ) & better sharpness
RAW Mode for ‘unopinionated’ results, similar to v5 output ( use —style raw in prompt )
V5 and v4 are still available, but v5.1 is the default setting and you don’t have to add —v 5.1 to prompts
I prefer the creative style of v4 but I appreciate the quality and crisp images generated by v5. I was impressed by the results of the updated version for the same prompts. I’ll use v5.1 for most of my creative and artistic pieces, and v5 or —style raw for photorealistic pictures.

I’ve had access to Microsoft Designer for a few months and I love this tool.
Designer is a versatile tool, offering real-time style and layout suggestions. Easily customize text, backgrounds, and images by uploading your own visuals or using stock options.
It’s integrated with Bing Chat for quick access to get information like a list of coffee shop names for my animation shown below.
I made the visuals shown below, in less than 15 minutes, using my uploaded AI-generated images:
