🔮AI News This Week
Andreesen Horowitz recently published “The Top 100 Gen AI Consumer Apps,” and it gives a peak into what everyday users do with generative AI tools.
Apps were analyzed based on monthly visits to determine how consumers used these tools. I wrote about some of the top Gen AI web apps last week in Visually AI.

Top 50 Gen AI Mobile Apps
Andreesen Horowitz’s report divided the generative AI apps into web and mobile categories.
Chatbots, homework helpers, AI image generators and editing tools are the majority of the top mobile app list.
I’ll summarize some of the lesser-known, but useful products below this image:
#3 Photomath
Photomath is a comprehensive math help app that provides step-by-step explanations for a wide range of math problems, from elementary to college level.
Photomath is only available as a mobile app. (link)

Scan any math problem, including word problems, using the app's camera
Access custom visual aids and extra "how" and "why" tips for deeper understanding
#5 Remini
Remini is an AI-powered photo and video enhancer that transforms low-quality visuals into high-definition content. It’s available as a web and mobile app.
The mobile app uses generative AI, and the web app uses traditional image enhancement and editing tools. (link)

Video Enhancer: amplifies quality and size of videos up to 2x
Image Enlarger: upscales photos and videos up to 2x

#6 Brainly
Brainly is an online learning platform and community where students can post questions to get answers, explanations, and resources to help them understand the material better.

#7 Nova
Nova is “Your AI Assistant” powered by ChatGPT and GPT-4.
I’m not familiar with the app, but it appears to be a sleek version of many apps powered by ChatGPT. The app seems to be quite popular, though!
It’s available on the web, iPhone, Apple Watch, MacOS, and Android devices. (link)

Stable Video 3D
Stability AI released Stable Video 3D (SV3D) - a text or image-to-3D generator based on stable Video Diffusion.
It’s available for commercial purposes through Stability AI membership, and non-commercial users can download model weights on HuggingFace. (link)

Stable Video 3D uses novel view synthesis (NVS) to generate 3D views from many angles, without changing the overall image:
Remix AI 3D Animation
Remix launched a 3D animation feature, powered by Stable Video 3D.
You can generate a short 3D video with one click, as easily as generating any image on the app. Remix says they plan to add more open-source features as soon as they become available.
Remix is available as a mobile app for Apple and Android devices. Download the app here.
