Welcome to Visually AI!
I have been trying to keep up with the continued avalanche of AI news, updates, and new tools - but it’s impossible!
Going into the new year, I want to provide you with the most value possible. I will be publishing additional Visually AI articles through ConvertKit to focus on different topics or deep dives into subjects and more free downloads.
I started writing about AI topics and tools one year ago in December 2022.
I thought it would be interesting to review some of the things that stood out to me over the past year.
⏪ AI 2023 Recap: Part 1
ChatGPT and Other Chatbots
The arrival of ChatGPT sparked tons of new AI tools and changed the way we thought about using a chatbot in our daily lives.
Chatbots like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and Bing Chat can help content creators by quickly generating ideas, outlines, drafts, and full pieces of content, allowing creators to produce more high-quality content in less time.
These AI tools boost efficiency and creativity in content production across formats like blog posts, social captions, newsletters, and more.
Some tools allow you to choose from different large language models (LLMs), including the chatbots listed above:
Content Repurposing - Speech-to-Text
Using AI tools strategically instead of just for one-off tasks can revolutionize workflows.
AI can help create entire marketing campaigns, long-form content, and more.
Repurposing content is a major timesaver and I have used each of the tools shown below, to repurpose audio from my weekly 𝕏 Generative AI Spaces into blog articles, sections of this newsletter, and posts on 𝕏.
Zealous: AI assistant repurposes recorded content into shareable social media and marketing posts. Includes transcription, speaker assignments, audiograms, automatic backups, and more. (link)
Flowjin: Generate video snippets and shorts, audiograms, captions, and more with AI for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and other social media platforms. (link)
Deciphr: Repurpose audio and video content into blog articles, video reels, and shorts, with AI-generated captions, transcripts, show notes, and timestamps for podcasting. (link)
Assembly AI: Powerful speech-to-text tool uses the Conformer-2 speech recognition tool, with near-human accuracy. Upload audio from a meeting, presentation, video, or podcast for fast asynchronous transcription with automatic punctuation and casing, custom spelling, profanity filtering, and more. (link)

🔮AI News This Week
Here is a summary of recent AI news:
MidJourney version 6 is now available in alpha, with improved image quality, prompt adherence, the ability to add text to images, and remix ability
You can use version 6 in Discord by adding “—v 6” or choose “Midjourney Model V6 [ALPHA]” from the /settings dropdown menu.
Some users with more than 10k images generated in Midjourney can generate on the Midjourney Alpha website. (link)
Anyone can visit the new Midjourney website here. And the legacy website still exists here.
Examples of some of my old prompts generated with Midjourney V6:
Microsoft Co-Pilot now integrates with Suno and lets you generate songs directly within Co-Pilot instead of Discord.
Google introduced Video Poet, a new model for generating videos from text, images, and other videos of variable lengths.
Leonardo added Motion to the extensive features on the platform. I got early access and it’s impressive - I converted the image below to a gif for easier embedding and viewing in Substack, but you can see more examples in my thread on 𝕏:

A digital Zen koi pond, where the fish's movements create ripples in a pixelated water effect, using a calming palette of blues and greens
Photo of a man with piercing blue eyes and short, silver hair, dressed in a sleek black turtleneck. He stands in a minimalist, dimly lit library, rows of books blurred behind him, as he looks directly into the camera with an enigmatic smile.
