Why do you guys keep pushing gen1 when the only cool videos people are making is with gen2? Apparently you give some people access but not everyone.

I want the bleeding edge stuff and to know a gen3 is on the way and that I will get access to it as a tool in my toolkit. Like the way Topaz Labs does their business model. Davinci Resolve and Ableton Live are also fair and appreciated.

Affinity said “for life upgrades” but now they are selling a new version and not upgrading the old one. It feels gross in some way.

I don’t want DALL-E 1 when I know someone else has access to midjourney v5.

Only the elite class that can afford it gets access to GPT5.

I like how Topaz is upfront that you own the product and it will be upgraded up to a specified date that is agreed upon. I understand that they need the cash flow to pay their crew and engineer new things.

What I’m trying to say is that I want a fair interaction and exchange of value.

Let people make cool things and don’t worry about getting sued. Let’s make some dank memes with this incredible new tech.

Davinci does a pay once upgrade forever model. I like that option too.

Thanks for reading, Steven.

I included Gen-1 in my headline and wrote about it because I signed up for the beta and had the opportunity to use it before it was released. Gen-2 is a great tool, too.

I write about topics I understand and want to share with my audience. There are tons of new products and tech on the horizon, but I'll write about those when they're closer to release for the public.

I agree with you about the elite class being able to afford or get access to new technology. I'm not 'elite' and I have a paid subscription to Runway. I have to carefully choose my paid subscriptions, just like you do.

I don't work for Runway or any tech company so I can't tell you when new versions will be available.

I hope you can find something in my newsletter you can use, but I appreciate your feedback!
