Interesting article, IA is making progress in professional contexts. However, I don't understand how you're not replacing anyone. Helping the show stay in a limited budget by not hiring people to do the job is the literal definition of replacement.
Thanks for reading. We're not replacing people because the budget was limited before the show began, so in order to finish within a reasonable amount of time, with more than 700 cast and crew, they hired 4 AI artists to help with implementing workflows to use along with the full VFX department.
