🔮AI News This Week
Apple’s WWDC
The Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), hosted by Apple from June 6 to June 10, will be an online event available to all developers for free. Learn about the latest iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS advancements during the conference.
What do you think they’ll announce this year? A holodeck, virtual reality headset, or glasses? Robert Scoble predicts, “A virtual cube full of experiences created by artists…sitting on my coffee table.”
We’ll know soon…
NVIDIA Research
NVIDIA announced several new AI research projects:
Neuralangelo, an AI model developed by NVIDIA Research, uses neural networks to create high-quality 3D reconstructions of real-world objects like statues or buildings from 2D video clips.
Users will be able to shoot video clips with their phones to transform them into 3D objects to use in robotics and game development. (video)
DiffCollage is another research project by NVIDIA that uses diffusion models to make:
large, high-quality images
360° panoramic images
flexible image generation & translation
